Thanks to the support of the EU programme Creative Europe, European platform Magic Carpets supports development, mobility and visibility of emerging artists across Europe; artistic collaboration with the cities and their inhabitants. The platform unites 13 visual arts and theatre organisations from Vilnius, Berlin, Folkestone, Rome, Prague, Bucharest, Limerick, Tbilisi, Porto, Zagreb, Novi Sad and Innsbruck. This year, Homo Novus hosts choreographer Ahilan Ratnamohan from Antwerp and dancer Feras Shaheen from Sydney in creative residency in Riga, and their production Klapping.
EMERGENCE is a European project co-financed by the EU programme “Creative Europe”. It supports practice and research in scenography focusing on our collective memory and sites that contain it. The project partners include Prague Quadrennial / Arts and Theatre Institute, Victoria & Albert Museum, Platform for Cultural Initiatives Izolyatsia, Instytut Teatralny im. Zbigniewa Raszewskiego, Cyprus Theatre Organisation THOC, Norwegian Theatre Academy / Østfold University College, New Theatre Institute of Latvia, National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts. In co-operation with EMERGENCE Homo Novus 2019 presents scenography and theatre space programme B13 – an exhibition 1:1, Microcosm by Philippe Quesne, Festival School Memory of Place and installation HALL07.
